Using this at a firm?
The base tool is free and open source. After getting a lot of positive feedback and feature requests, I'm exploring a few things for offices that run regular site studies.
Free, and staying free
- Base plans from any US address: parcel, neighbors, roads, contours, slope, soils, flood, wetlands, aerial.
- Every export: DXF, SketchUp terrain, LandXML, GIS, KML and the PDF summary.
- Multi-parcel sites and your own CAD layer names.
What I'm exploring for firms
- Zoning test fits for your jurisdictions: setbacks, buffers and maximum units with a building and parking layout, using zoning rules reviewed for the cities you work in.
- Batch runs: many sites at once, for feasibility studies and site selection.
- Your office standards on every output: your title block and logo on the PDF, your CAD layer standard set up once for the whole office.
Early access is a small pilot: you tell me what you need, I build it for your jurisdictions or workflow, you tell me what works. Nothing to buy here, and nothing changes for the free tool.
